These gentle objects are a collaboration with Zürich-based, Viennese ceramicist Barbara Postiasi. Oyster shells, images and words were the starting point of our conversation and the results are ornate, useful, and quietly beautiful. Barbara Postiasi specializes in Raku-firing, an ancient Japanese ceramics technique. She made a total of 26 "Little Spirits" which are evenly distributed on either side of the Atlantic. In terms of size it is safe to say that all Little Spirits fit comfortably into a grownup's palm, more or less.
